Lorenzo Baldassarri

Winner of the Italian Mini GP 50cc championship at just 9 years of age, Lorenzo Baldassarri soon started being noticed and in 2009 came home second in the Catalan race of the Pre GP championship. In 2011, the rider from San Severino Marche raced in the Italian Speed championship riding an Aprilia RS 125 R. He finished eighth in the category and, in that same year, won the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The following year, he continued in the Rookies Cup and in CEV Moto3 finishing in eighth place in both championships.

2013 saw his debut in Moto3 riding an FTR for the GO&FUN team, for whom he also raced in 2014 in Moto2, taking the eleventh and ninth position respectively in the Catalunya and Holland GPs. The following year he joins the Forward Racing team, gaining his first podium place at the Phillip Island GP.
