Stefan Bradl

The son of Helmut Bradl, one of the most famous German riders of the 80s and 90s, and a former Dainese-sponsored rider, Stefan inherited the DNA of a champion. He rides his first bike, a Honda QR50, when only 4 years old. With his father’s support, he gains experience up to his debut in the 125 class in 2006. He expresses his potential at his best in the Moto2 class. In the 2011 season, with 5 pole positions, 11 podiums and 4 victories, he becomes the first German World Champion since Dirk Raudies, and the youngest one ever. At the end of the season, he gets the chance of trying the LCR Honda RC212V. Lucio Cecchinello (team manager), is so impressed by his performances that he offers him a contract for the MotoGP. In 2013 he collects a pole position and a second place in the USA. His results improve in 2014, finishing fourth in three occasions (Texas, Aragon and Malaysia), ending his season at the ninth position. Season 2015 is affected by an injury, with a mid-season move from Yamaha to Aprilia, and an 18th place in the final standings.
